CBO Safety Guidelines

2021 Fall Basketball League

(Subject to change)

In order for the CBO community to return to basketball safely, we will adhere to the following  safety guidelines in addition to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH)  protocol for organized youth sports. All safety guidelines and protocol are subject to change  due to the evolving COVID-19 virus and impact, including community transmission and  responses.

Any non-compliance can result in forfeiture in participation (players, coaches, and spectators)  and further disciplinary actions, including suspensions.

GENERAL

Each person coming to the facility is required to sign/provide the liability and COVID-19 waiver forms.

No eating or drinking on the facility premise at any time, including post-game snacks.  Players are allowed to bring water only and drink only during their scheduled game time. Leave the facility promptly after the game. Avoid any post game gathering.

Teams arriving early for their scheduled game must wait at the Budokan courtyard and NOT  enter the gym until after the previous game has ended and those teams have exited the gym.

GAME RULE CHANGES

The purpose of the below changes is to reduce potential crowd congestion from game running  past the scheduled one-hour duration

• Two full timeout and one 30 second timeout (from four full)

• Two minute halftime (from five minute)

• Three minute minimum warm-up time

Follow the mask rules for participants, coaches, and spectators:

When wearing face mask nose and mouth must be covered at all time.

Players: All players, regardless of vaccination status, are required to bring and wear masks.  Players must wear a face mask during game. Players may remove their face masks  temporarily to drink water. When players are drinking, they should maintain a 6-foot  distance from others.

• Players are encouraged to bring more than one mask in case their mask gets wet or  soiled during play.

Spectators: All spectators, regardless of vaccination status, are required to bring and wear  masks.

Coaches: All coaches, regardless of vaccination status, are required to bring and wear  masks. Coaches must wear masks even when coaching during games.

VACCINATE

It is strongly recommended that all players ages 12 and older and coaches are fully vaccinated.

TESTING

A weekly negative PCR test result is required for all players and coaches who are not fully  vaccinated; weekly school testing fulfills this obligation. (LACDPH effective 9/1/21)

Each organization is responsible for maintaining and providing CBO record for those vaccinated  and weekly PCR test results update for those unvaccinated. Weekly PCR test results update  needs to be communicated to CBO by no later than Thursday before the following weekend  games.

CONTACT TRACING and POSITIVE TEST RESULTS

Players, spectators, and coaches should self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms prior to attending a  game.

CBO will adhere to the following in cases of positive COVID-19 test results:
